STIHL Inc. began its U.S. operations in the Hampton Roads community of Virginia in 1974. This region allows us to strategically position ourselves for national and international distribution. U.S. distribution is exclusive to six independent distributors and six STIHL owned marketing and distribution centers, which sell STIHL products to a nationwide network of over 8,000 servicing retail dealers.
