Manager, Dealer Services

Oxford, CT

Northeast STIHL is seeking a Dealer Services Manager!


  • Assist Branch Mgr. in the development, implementation and management of dealer support programs that increase sales and improve dealer relations. 
  • Responsible for Merchandising personnel and Tech Services department.
  • Work with the sales team to develop and determine dealer needs, competitive issues, merchandising requirements, and training needs. Utilize all available information, including but not limited to market analysis, surveys and corporate information.  
  • Maintain a schedule of department activities including meetings, staff vacations and staff business travel. Prepare and submit employee time sheets. Maintain supervisor’s daily meeting schedule.
  • Arrange hotel accommodations, airline reservations, taxi transport and meals for department visitors and events as requested by supervisor.
  • Track department expenses and prepare staff expense reports. Prepare and submit purchase requisitions.
  • Maintain a supply of materials including fuel, oil, batteries, protective equipment and other materials needed to maintain, repair, test and demonstrate products.
  • Assist Field Testing staff with product preparation and product assembly, including installation of hour meters on test products and adjusting machines for proper running behavior.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of department shipping station and supplies. Maintain inventory of shipping documents and shipping supplies.
  • Arrange and schedule maintenance, repair, inspections and cleaning of department vehicles.
  • Assume additional related responsibilities as needed.




  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of experience in a mechanical field such as small engine repair, auto repair, and motorcycle repair, etc.
  • Basic computer and Microsoft Office software knowledge, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills       
  • Basic understanding in the repair and operation of 2-cycle, 4-cycle, and battery powered equipment and experience using basic hand tools.
