Merchandising Specialist

State College, PA
 

This position will assist in the sales and marketing of STIHL products by promoting, selling, and installing the STIHL Concept Store and other merchandising systems.

Requirements:

  • Coordinates installation, sales and promotion of new ideas for STIHL merchandise systems.
  • Addresses vendor concerns and issues regarding STIHL merchandise and fixtures.
  • Repairs and maintains existing STIHL Concept Stores.
  • Supervise all temporary support to assemble and install Stihl merchandise systems.
  • Receives and warehouses STIHL Concept Store fixtures as well as other STIHL merchandising fixtures.
  • Organizes warehouse space assigned to STIHL Concept Store fixtures as well as other STIHL merchandising fixtures.
  • Pulls and loads or ships any STIHL Concept Store or other merchandising fixture orders.
  • Call's on dealers in designated markets to assess inventory and/or fixture needs.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school degree or equivalent is required, additional college, technical, or formal training a plus.
  • 2+ years of merchandising experience related to physically installing, displaying and merchandising product/company displays, is required.
  • Valid driver's license with no restrictions and a good driving record is required.
  • Ability to travel 3 to 4 nights a week or more as required.
  • Good visual and hearing acuity as well as non-limited physical agility is required as there is frequent bending, lifting/moving up to 75 lbs., reaching, standing, walking, driving, etc.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite software is expected.
  • Any experience within the Outdoor Power Equipment (OPE) industry, especially related to STIHL equipment, is desired. 
  • Must currently live in or be open to relocating to an area near State College, PA.
